Here’s what goes into a buyer consultation and why it’s so important.
As a homebuyer, the most important conversation you’ll have is the initial buyer consultation with a real estate agent(s). The buyer consultation is where we get to sit down with you to discuss the home-buying process, your wants and needs as a buyer, and healthy expectations (well, ‘sit down with you’ is figurative, since nowadays we do this via Zoom due to COVID).
In this meeting, we’ll cover every step involved in buying your first home (or securing your next one in the market of the moment), and we’ll also share a bit about ourselves; we here at the Mode Real Estate Team have specific strategies and tools to help our clients achieve their goal of homeownership and become one of our #ForeverClients in the process.
The pre-approval process will be an integral part of our discussion, since it’ll be the step in your home-buying journey. We’ll also do our best to give you an idea of what you can expect out there in the market once we start actively looking for homes.
We’ll explain the finer points of the offer process, which can be a huge source of confusion for many, especially first-time buyers. Preparing for this critical phase starts with understanding these important terms: initial deposit, down payment, contingencies, inspections, and closing escrow.
The pre-approval process will be an integral part of our discussion, since it’ll be the step in your home-buying journey.
Ours is a hot market where homes routinely generate multiple offers and sell quickly. That’s why we’ll also discuss some creative strategies for making your offer as appealing to today’s sellers as possible.
Finally, we’ll determine whether we are the right fit for you based on your needs. When we choose to work together, the fun really begins; we’ll go out and start looking at homes, we’ll write some offers, and then—our favorite part of our job—we’ll hand you the keys to your new home!
Hopefully you enjoyed Part 3 of our home-buying series. Stay tuned for Part 4 where we’ll take a deeper look at that pre-approval process we mentioned above. In the meantime, reach out with any questions or real estate needs; we’re always happy to help!
