So, what turns YOU on? About homes, that is!
We all have specific things we look for when it comes to a romantic partner, and it’s really no different when we’re looking at homes.
According to a recent study from HomeAdvisor, here are the things that matter the most when it comes to buying a home.
#1, Price. Of course, right? Money talks, and for most buyers, it’s absolutely the first thing on their minds.
#2 was home size. Many people move because they outgrow their previous home, so this makes sense that it would be in the number 2 spot.
#3 is an updated kitchen. Kitchens are the heart of every home, so most buyers are absolutely looking for something that will be warm but functional.
Plus, a kitchen remodel is one of the most expensive upgrades you can make on a home, so it makes sense that buyers would look for a home without this huge project.
#4, was outdoor space. Very important, especially if you live in a climate where you can be outside for much of the year.
Then, it was basically a 3-way tie for storage space, bedroom size, and updated bathrooms. Interesting that updated bathrooms are relatively low on the list here since they can also be a major cost when renovating.
And then rounding out the last 3, it was a tie between neighborhood, kitchen size, and location. Again, interesting to me that location is listed last on this list, but that makes more sense now that people are working from home and commuting less.
